Gary Campbell called the meeting to order at
7:40
Board members present; David Spradlin, Mike
Spradlin, Gordon Rife, Johnnie Green, Jerry Murphy, Gary Campbell, Lenny
Pocayt.
Members present; Tracy Pozayt
A member sent in some pictures to see if they
could have the color changed on their stallions registration papers from
black to smokey black. After a lengthy discussion by the board, the board
agreed that if it was registered as a black, the color should stay the same
on the registration papers.
Profit and Loss statement was presented by Jerry
Murphy Gordon Rife made a motion to accept. Seconded by Mike Spradlin.
Motion passed.
Discussion on National Breed Shows. Discussed
Mid-West Horse Fair in WI and the Southern Horse Fair in NC.
Lynn from the Gaited Horse called Mike to see if
the association would like to renew the association ad in the Gaited Horse.
Discussion on the mag. ads among board members about how best to spend
advertising monies. It was decided money would be better spent at breed
shows, as there is a larger concentration of horse people. Jerry made
motion not to renew ad. Lenny 2nd. Motion passed.
Gordon present new and renewed members. Jerry
made motion to accept. Mike 2nd. Motin passed.
Mike will check on prices for a new tri-fold
advertising brochure and bring prices back to the next meeting.
Lenny made motion to adjourn. Johnnie 2nd.
