Mountain Pleasure Board Meeting

September 6, 2005

Meeting called to order by President Spradlin at 7:20 p.m.

Board Members present: Mike Spradlin, Jerry Murphy, Johnny Green, Travis Smith, James Murrell, and David Spradlin.

Discussion was held on workers for the upcoming MPHA World Championship Show

President Spadlin expressed that there would be a booth set up for KEEP membership for those interested

Discussion was held on having both DNA and Blood Typing available to the membership. Blood Typing may become too expensive for the membership to use. Board discussed making DNA optional for those breeders who wish to use it. Also a discussion was held on offering DNA testing at a reduced rate in order to give everyone the option of converting all mares and stallions to DNA.

A motion was made to make DNA (optional) for the membership. Also for the first year (with an option to renew) it would only cost the breeder 55 dollars to DNA their foal and convert the mare over to DNA. This would only be a 9 increase on Blood typing the foal alone.

Board would like to express to everyone that DNA conversion is optional.

A motion was made to move the MPHA Office to a Private Contractor. The new address being:
