Announcing Second Judge Trail Ride Eligible for Prize Money

To compete for prize money horses must be Kentucky BRED AND BORN no matter where they now live. All must be either Registered with MPHA or Registered and Certified by RMHA. Original papers must be shown at sign in. Health certificate and negative coggins required. Entry fee $20.00 cash only, per horse.

You will need to bring your own support requirements, food, drink, equipment to care for the horse etc. Parking will be available at the Starting point. Water will be available for the horses on the ride. The ride is expected to take 3 hours.

Participants will be started at one minute intervals. This is not a race, minimum and maximum time that you will be given to complete the ride will be announced. You will be judged on a number of natural obstacles along the trail. Each obstacle will be rated in difficulty on a scale of 1-10 each rider will be scored on a scale of 1-10. Most obstacles will be rated in the 2-5 range, maximum on this ride is a difficulty 7.

Sign-in will begin at 8:00am and riders will begin to leave the starting point at 8:30.

Directions to the Rockcastle Ride.

Take I75 to exit 59. Proceed East to the tow of Livingston. In Livingston turn left on Hwy. 490. Hwy 490 promptly crosses a bridge and takes a sharp right turn. Follow 490 for about 7 miles. You will approach an old metal bridge. DO NOT CROSS. Just before the bridge is a road, turn left onto that road and proceed about 3 miles to where you see the signs for parking on the right.
